The free trial and the bargain rates for the paid plans may sound too good to be true. Indeed, there is a catch, and that is that in order to give each student sufficient attention the number of places available for the free trial and paid plans is limited. If the numbers are exceeded, we will have to place you on a waiting list until some places are freed up and/or we expand our resources. So please understand that this is necessary in order to maintain quality. Following are descriptions of the different plans.

Assistant: $ 75 per month

In this plan you may ask as many questions you like, at any time. However, there is no weekend service: you will only get responses on Monday to Friday (9 am to 11.59 pm, EST). You will get sufficient guidance in outline form to help you understand and solve your problem. However, considering the extremely low rate for this plan, more than one response on the same problem is not guaranteed. Extended and in-depth discussions about a single problem are not covered by this plan. Also, the turnaround time is not guaranteed to be less than 72 hours. Compared to what you would have to pay for a couple of one-on-one lessons with a private tutor, this plan is a bargain.

Associate $ 150 per month

This plan includes the provisions of the Assistant plan, except that weekend service is provided.

Scholar $ 495 per month

In this plan you may ask as many questions you like, at any time, and weekend service is covered. However, there is a major difference compared to the Assistant and Associate plans. That is, a more in-depth analysis and discussion of every problem is permitted. We can work through problems in detail, exchange questions and responses, until all your understanding and all points of confusion are cleared up. A 24-hour or less response time is the goal with this plan. Compared to what you could pay for one-on-one tutoring in a month, this plan is still excellent value.

Advanced Scholar $ 995 per month

This plan has the same provisions as the Scholar plan, except that it covers postgraduate level work. Currently, only physics and astrophysics are covered by this plan.

Pay-as-You-Go

This plan enables you to get help with a particular problem (or set of problems) without having to commit to a monthly subscription. The rate will depend on the complexity of the work and the time required to complete the request. Please e-mail support “at” astrophysicsformulas.com for a quote, with sufficient detail about your problem or problems to make an assessment (we’ll ask for more information if necessary). The quote will cover in-depth analysis of the problem, with multiple exchanges allowed (as for the scholar plans). If you are already subscribed to the Assistant or Associate plans and need more help with a particular problem than those plans provide, the rate will be lower than it would be without the subscription.
